Standing stones, Marick (Isle of Arran).
The day started really grey and miserable, the sky wasn't really exciting and it fore casted a lot of rain in the afternoon. I had decided to visit the Viking graves, otherwise known as Carins. This was something I had planned for the week, so regardless of the weather, I was determined to carry on and go with the mood the weather would create.
Below are images taken on the way to the standing stones:

Below are some photographs I took, whilst there, explaining in detail the history surrounding the Standing stones and chambers.

The afternoon as predicted, became extremely foggy and rather cold! However I wanted to go with the weather and by doing so I would ultimately exaggerate the mood.

Although it was raining extremely hard, I carried on undeterred, with my trusted golf umbrella and plenty of cloths at the ready...
On the way back, to the car, we noticed an old abandoned Farm. I really found the building and nearby lake really interesting. Below are some images taken from the Farm and nearby lake.

I really struggled taking the above shots, the weather really had taken a turn for the worse. In fact the rain was now running down my Waterproof Hood! I had my Husband gripping on to the Golf Umbrella, for dear life, as I kept drying away the many droplets of rain on the front of the Camera lens!
At one point it really felt like I was going to capture nothing, as it really was difficult! but I carried on as I knew I was against time and wouldn't be able to visit this location again, on this trip anyway...
However I really made the most of the rain and the effect it added to the images. I accidentally breathed on the filter, whilst trying to clean the filter, this did create a rather lovely effect and I did experiment a little!
